Bruce Wallinger maintains an active civil litigation, arbitration and mediation practice, serves as a consultant and counselor on issues of risk management and employment law compliance, and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in some of the area’s most significant personal injury cases. He has extensive skills and experience in alternative dispute resolution, which include a multi-state practice as a mediator and arbitrator on the commercial, employment law and large complex case panels of the American Arbitration Association. Bruce is a frequent speaker on ADR topics and has lectured at seminars sponsored by the Judicial Conference of Virginia, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. He was appointed by the Chief Justice of Virginia to serve on the Commission on Virginia Courts in the 21st Century. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for more than ten years and is currently listed in its Alternative Dispute Resolution, Labor and Employment Law and Commercial Litigation specialties. Selected for listing in 2007 Virginia Super Lawyers.

Law Practice Experience Practicing attorney for more than thirty years with emphasis on business, commercial, employment, insurance, professional malpractice and personal injury litigation, counseling and dispute resolution. Broad experience in areas of commercial transactions, contracts, business dissolutions, executive compensation and benefits, terminations, severance and non-compete agreements, claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other statutory and common law rights, wills contests and property rights.
Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience Mediator and arbitrator since 1996 and a member of the AAA's Commercial, Employment and Large, Complex Case Panels. Experienced as mediator, sole arbitrator and panel member or chair in large, complex commercial and employment cases involving claims ranging from $30,000 to over $100 million in multi-state area. Charter member and Officer of the Joint Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Bar Association. Certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia in 1997 for general mediation.
