Jacob Penrod represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, handles both domestic and commercial real estate transactions, represents individuals in social security disability matters, and assists businesses and organizations with contractual and collection issues. 

Education  James Madison University (B.S., 1998, summa cum laude); Washington & Lee School of Law (J.D., 2003, cum laude).

Law Practice Experience  Paralegal at Hoover Penrod from 1998 to 2000, focusing on collections and real estate.  Intern with the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund in Washington, D.C.  Intern with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Richmond Virginia.  Clerked for Judges Lane and McGrath in the Rockingham County Circuit Court.  Private practice with Hoover Penrod PLC since 2004.
